A dam in the middle of a river
Location http://www.michigan.gov/deq/0,1607,7-135-3313_3684_3723-9515--,00.html
Observations Dams are man-made barriers that are built to block or redirect water flow of rivers and streams. This dam was built to slow down water flow and prevent flooding.
Explanations Dams have negative impacts on the plants and animals that have adapted to the specific movement of natural rivers and streams. Dams also cause temperature changes, erosion, and movement of sediment that are deadly to many organisms.
