Location http://www.fws.gov/sacramento/ea/news_releases/2003%20News%20Releases/CA_Spotted_Owl.htm
Observations This owl is medium-sized with dark brown feathers with select white spots, a round and compressed head, and dark eyes.
Explanations Owls sit high in trees and use their head-turning ability to search for food such as snakes, spiders, and small rodents (skunks, mice, and chipmunks). They do not eat plants and are considered carnviores.
