Salt flat and salt grass habitat at the Mojave desert
Observations The salt flat and salt grass habitat contains no rocks and is abundant with brown shrubs.
Explanations The salt flat/ grass habitat provides shade and shelter for desert organisms. This habitat is found at a higher elevation than the sand and rock habitats and has slightly cooler temperatures and more moisture, which accounts for the abundance of vegetation.
